June, 13, 2007 - CEA-308b - First Flight - See a movie.

June, 2007 - CEA-308b - Between June 4 and 9, will start the CEA-308b flight test campaign. After a pause 5 years this project starts again looking for the FAI C1-a0 world record. The test pilot will be the Brazilian Aerobatic Champion, Capt. Gunar Armin.

March, 2007 - Aeronaves Autônomas - UAV - CEA-UFMG, participating of SiDeVAAN project have achieved conduct several experiments using a hand-launched UAV developed at UFMG, using Brazilian technologies.

March, 2007 - Former students and Prof. Cláudio Pinto de Barros meeting - A meeting happens in São José dos Campos - Brazil, with several  (80) CEA's former students and the CEA founder, Prof. Claudio Pinto de Barros.

October, 2006 - Public presentation on CEA-308 - Celebrating the Aviation Century, CEA-UFMG reveals his news airplane, the racer CEA-308b. This airplane will be flied by the Brazilian Aerobatics Champion, Cap. Gunar Armin, and will be used to try to break a world record on FAI-C1-a0 class.

August, 2006 - New Wind Tunnel - The Minas Gerais State Research Support Foundation approves the build of a new wind tunnel for CEA-UFMG.

July, 2006 - CEA breaks the Brazilian Record for Fuel Economy - The prototype CEA-M2, developed by CEA-UFMG, wins the Brazilian Fuel Economy competition, establishing the new Brazilian record for fuel economy - 598.86km with a gasoline liter.

April, 2006 - CEA-AERODESIGN wins the EUA competition - The CEA-UFMG AERODESIGN Team, sponsored by ALE Fuesl wins the EUA-East competition. This competition is considered the AERODESIGN World Championship.

March, 2006 - Finished the build of new CEA's workshop. - See the Pictures!

February, 2006 - Announced a patternship between CEA-UFMG and the company ACS-Advanced Composites Solutions. This company will produce a serialized version of  CEA306 CB10 Triathlon.

January, 2005 - Finished the new version of CEA-FDAS Flight Data Acquisition System. This new version is able to acquire up to 32 channels at 30Hz, GPS at 5Hz, with storage for more then one hour of flight.

December, 2005 - 1° Seminary of Tests, Simulation and Control of Airplanes.

December, 2005 - Prof. Leonardo Torres join the CEA-UFMG. Prof. Torres works at the Electronics Engineering Department and join the CEA-UFMG team in order to help the developments in flight tests, UAVs and Automatic Control.

December, 2005 - The company SOLID MINAS, representative of SOLID WORKS on Minas Gerais State, make available 20 students licenses of this software to CEA-UFMG in order to promote the development of our technical and scientificall activities.

June, 2005 - The CEA306-CB.10 Triathlon build by Mr. Celso Calegari was exposed at Expo Aero Brasil in Araras-SP. The North American journalist Howard Levi becames very impressed with the airplane. See here some photos...

June, 2005 - The Brazilian Experimental Aviation Association and CEA-UFMG signed a contract to the development of a new ultra light airplane, the ABRAEX-6. Read here more details about this airplane.
